ATTENTION ATLANTA: CRUSH IS LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT ROOM
Venue Owners, Promoters, Hospitality Groups, DJs, Creators, Sponsors and AUC-Area Operators—October 2 and October 9 Are on the Board
CRUSH MAGAZINE™ | CRUSH UNIVERSITY™ | FALL 2026
Atlanta:
This one is specific.
We have dates.
We have audiences.
We have two distinct October opportunities.
What we are building now is the infrastructure around them.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2026.
Atlanta.
The Georgia State Homecoming market.
Then one week later:
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2026.
Atlanta again.
The Morehouse, Spelman and Clark Atlanta / AUC Homecoming market.
Two Fridays.
Same city.
NOT THE SAME EVENT.
Not the same audience strategy.
Not the same cultural context.
And not necessarily the same room.
So this is an open business call to Atlanta.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT VENUE PARTNERS.
And we’re interested in the promoters, operators, hospitality companies, creators and businesses capable of helping make those rooms commercially powerful.
ATLANTA HAS ENOUGH PARTIES.
We’re not interested in adding another random flyer to the pile.
Atlanta doesn’t suffer from a shortage of nightlife.
It has almost everything.
Clubs.
Lounges.
Warehouses.
Event spaces.
Rooftops.
Restaurants.
Bars.
Ballrooms.
Creative spaces.
Concert venues.
Luxury spaces.
Neighborhood institutions.
The problem isn’t finding a room.
THE PROBLEM IS FINDING THE RIGHT ROOM AT THE RIGHT ECONOMICS.
That’s a business problem.
And we’re solving it now.
OCTOBER 2 HAS TO MAKE SENSE FOR GEORGIA STATE.
Downtown Atlanta matters.
Campus proximity can matter.
Transportation matters.
Friday traffic matters.
Parking matters.
MARTA accessibility may matter.
Hotel concentration matters.
The after-work Atlanta crowd may matter.
Students matter.
Alumni matter.
Young professionals matter.
The venue cannot simply be attractive.
It has to fit the customer journey.
OCTOBER 9 IS A DIFFERENT CONVERSATION.
Morehouse.
Spelman.
Clark Atlanta.
The Atlanta University Center.
Homecoming energy.
Alumni.
Students.
Visitors.
Atlanta nightlife.
This is one of the most culturally valuable weekends on the Fall calendar.
Which also means:
COMPETITION WILL BE SERIOUS.
Every promoter with an audience knows what’s happening.
Every venue knows.
Every artist team knows.
Every hospitality operator knows.
Attention becomes expensive.
That’s why CRUSH cannot enter the weekend casually.
WE DON’T NEED THE MOST EXPENSIVE VENUE IN ATLANTA.
We need the venue that produces the strongest combination of:
Customer experience.
Location.
Capacity.
Reputation.
Production.
Security.
Operating hours.
Hospitality.
Parking.
Transportation access.
And:
PROFITABILITY.
Prestige without margin is expensive decoration.
TO ATLANTA VENUE OWNERS:
If your room is available for October 2 or October 9—
we want serious conversations.
Bring the actual information.
Legal capacity.
Rental rate.
Deposit.
Hours.
Security requirements.
Production package.
Staffing.
Bar structure.
VIP/table structure.
Parking.
Insurance requirements.
Outside-vendor rules.
Talent restrictions if any.
Settlement procedures.
Cancellation terms.
We don’t need:
“We can probably work something out.”
We need numbers.
IF YOUR VENUE HOLDS 500 PEOPLE—
Tell us why 500 is profitable.
IF IT HOLDS 1,000—
Show us the economics.
IF IT HOLDS 2,500—
Show us why the market supports it.
Bigger capacity creates bigger upside.
It also creates bigger risk.
We’re evaluating both.
ATLANTA PROMOTERS:
THIS IS YOUR CALL TOO.
Especially operators with proven relationships around:
Georgia State.
Downtown Atlanta.
The AUC.
West Atlanta.
Midtown.
Buckhead.
Old Fourth Ward.
Edgewood.
Castleberry Hill.
And the broader metro nightlife ecosystem.
We’re looking for people who know where their customers actually move.
Not where somebody on the internet thinks Atlanta moves.
SHOW US CONVERSION.
If you’ve sold:
300 tickets.
500 tickets.
1,000 tickets.
Show the work.
What kind of event?
What market?
What price?
What venue?
What customer?
What was your role?
That’s useful information.
A FOLLOWING IS NOT A SALES REPORT.
This distinction matters.
A promoter can have 100,000 followers and move 70 tickets.
Another can have 8,000 followers and move 400.
Who is more valuable to the event?
The answer is obvious.
We’re building around measurable contribution.
AUC PROMOTERS:
WE ESPECIALLY WANT TO KNOW WHO HAS TRUST.
Homecoming is not the weekend to discover whether your marketing network actually works.
Who can communicate authentically with:
Morehouse students?
Spelman students?
Clark Atlanta students?
Recent alumni?
Older alumni?
Young professionals?
Visiting HBCU audiences?
These aren’t necessarily one audience.
That’s why local intelligence matters.
STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS:
We’re interested in legitimate opportunities for editorial coverage, entrepreneurship, creators, student leadership and community-building.
But clarity matters.
Independent CRUSH events are not official university programming unless an institution expressly authorizes that relationship.
We will not manufacture affiliation.
If a formal partnership exists someday—
we’ll say so.
Until then:
Independent means independent.
THAT PROFESSIONAL DISTINCTION SHOULD ATTRACT BETTER PARTNERS.
Because serious organizations understand boundaries.
And serious businesses understand that credibility compounds.
ATLANTA DJS:
WE NEED PEOPLE WHO CAN CONTROL ROOMS.
Atlanta has no shortage of DJs.
That’s not the question.
Can you read:
Students?
Alumni?
Women?
Men?
Different generations?
AUC culture?
Atlanta records?
Southern records?
National records?
Throwbacks?
The moment?
A great DJ can make an ordinary room feel legendary.
A bad one can make an expensive room feel empty.
ATLANTA PHOTOGRAPHERS:
We want the people who understand nightlife and culture.
Not 700 nearly identical photographs of the celebrity.
Show us:
People.
Fashion.
Friends.
Students.
Alumni.
Architecture.
Energy.
Details.
Atlanta.
The photograph should tell us where we were.
VIDEOGRAPHERS:
We want:
Fast turnaround.
Vertical content.
High-quality archival footage.
Interviews.
Crowd footage.
Atlanta establishing shots.
Behind the scenes.
The recap should make someone who stayed home regret it.
The archive should make somebody in 2036 understand it.
SECURITY COMPANIES:
Atlanta events require professional operations.
We want legitimate companies capable of coordinating with venues and managing:
Entry.
Crowd flow.
Capacity.
VIP.
De-escalation.
Emergency procedures.
Exit.
Customer safety.
Professionalism isn’t optional.
PRODUCTION COMPANIES:
Bring us options.
Not just the most expensive package.
Show us:
Good.
Better.
Best.
What does each additional production dollar accomplish?
Better sound?
Better visual experience?
Better sponsor inventory?
Better content?
If it doesn’t materially improve something—
we don’t need it.
ATLANTA HOTELS:
OCTOBER CREATES TWO OPPORTUNITIES.
October 2.
October 9.
Visitors need rooms.
Creators need rooms.
Partners need rooms.
Alumni need rooms.
There may be opportunities for:
Trackable hotel partnerships.
Group rates.
Creator accommodations.
Welcome experiences.
Content.
Hospitality.
We want properties interested in measurable business.
ATLANTA RESTAURANTS:
Homecoming visitors need somewhere to go before and after.
CRUSH Magazine™ is building the editorial infrastructure for:
Dining guides.
Black-owned business features.
Late-night food.
Brunch.
Group dining.
Atlanta cultural recommendations.
We want restaurants worth recommending.
ATLANTA TRANSPORTATION:
Solve a real problem.
Campus.
Hotel.
Venue.
Restaurant.
Airport.
Downtown.
AUC.
Traffic.
Parking.
Transportation is one of the most obvious areas where a strong partner can create actual customer value.
ATLANTA BRANDS:
This is where the sponsorship conversation gets interesting.
Two October moments in one city.
Then CRUSH returns again in:
MAY 2027.
Now an Atlanta partner can potentially activate across:
Homecoming.
AUC culture.
Media.
Hospitality.
Creators.
Then a spring destination weekend.
That’s a much stronger relationship than buying one logo.
REAL ESTATE OWNERS:
YOU SHOULD BE IN THIS CONVERSATION TOO.
There are unconventional event spaces across metro Atlanta.
Properties with:
Parking.
Indoor/outdoor capability.
Large footprints.
Distinct architecture.
Flexible layouts.
Hospitality potential.
If your property can legally and safely accommodate events—
we want to know it exists.
RESTAURANT GROUPS AND HOSPITALITY COMPANIES:
Maybe the opportunity isn’t one giant nightclub.
Maybe it’s a multi-space hospitality relationship.
Dinner.
Reception.
Main event.
Brunch.
Hotel.
Pool.
Atlanta has enough infrastructure to think creatively.
EVENT PRODUCERS:
We want people who can turn a concept into a run-of-show.
Load-in.
Soundcheck.
Staff call.
Security briefing.
Doors.
Programming.
Talent movement.
VIP.
Closing.
Load-out.
Settlement.
That’s production.
Not simply “helping with the party.”
TICKETING PARTNERS:
We care about more than processing transactions.
We need:
Reliable scanning.
Customer data handled appropriately.
Fraud controls.
Reporting.
Settlement.
Tracking links.
Promoter attribution.
Sales velocity.
Ticket-tier performance.
A ticketing system should generate business intelligence.
THE NUMBERS MATTER.
For each Atlanta event, the internal model should know:
Capacity.
Projected attendance.
Average ticket value.
Gross ticket potential.
Sponsor revenue.
VIP potential.
Venue cost.
Talent.
Production.
Security.
Marketing.
Staff.
Insurance.
Hospitality.
Contingency.
Break-even attendance.
Projected profit.
Projected margin.
Then we decide.
THE OBJECTIVE IS NOT TO SAY:
“WE DID ATLANTA.”
The objective is to say:
“ATLANTA WORKED.”
Commercially.
Culturally.
Operationally.
And strategically.
Then:
Do it again.
OCTOBER 2 SHOULD TEACH OCTOBER 9.
That’s one of the biggest advantages in the calendar.
Seven days.
Same metropolitan market.
Two different college ecosystems.
What did Atlanta teach us on October 2?
Marketing.
Pricing.
Arrival times.
Transportation.
Content.
Operations.
Customer service.
Take the intelligence.
Apply it immediately.
OCTOBER 9 SHOULD TEACH MAY 2027.
Now we’re thinking beyond Homecoming.
A successful Atlanta customer relationship shouldn’t disappear in October.
CRUSH returns to Atlanta for the Spring 2027 calendar.
The audience can return too.
That’s how acquisition compounds.
THIS IS WHY ATLANTA MATTERS SO MUCH.
It isn’t simply another dot on the map.
Atlanta appears repeatedly in the CRUSH calendar.
That creates the possibility of building permanent infrastructure here.
Venue relationships.
Promoters.
Creators.
Hotels.
Restaurants.
Sponsors.
Customers.
Media.
Eventually perhaps even permanent physical infrastructure.
Atlanta can become a hub.
BUT FIRST:
WE NEED THE ROOM.
October 2.
October 9.
The dates matter.
The economics matter more.
SO ATLANTA—
If you own the venue:
Show us the room.
If you promote:
Show us conversion.
If you DJ:
Show us the crowd.
If you produce:
Show us execution.
If you provide security:
Show us professionalism.
If you own a hotel:
Show us hospitality.
If you own a restaurant:
Show us where everybody should eat.
If you operate transportation:
Show us how people move.
If you represent a brand:
Show us what you can add.
If you’re a creator:
Show us Atlanta through your lens.
If you’re a student leader:
Show us what’s being built on campus.
If you’re an alumnus:
Bring opportunity back.
OCTOBER 2, 2026.
ATLANTA.
OCTOBER 9, 2026.
ATLANTA AGAIN.
Two Fridays.
Two college markets.
One city.
And one objective:
BUILD SOMETHING PROFITABLE ENOUGH TO RETURN.
Because anybody can rent a room once.
Anybody can print a flyer.
Anybody can say they’re doing Homecoming.
The harder achievement is creating an event that customers want again, partners want again, venues want again and the business can afford to produce again.
That’s the standard.
CRUSH MAGAZINE™
CRUSH UNIVERSITY™
FALL HOMECOMING 2026
ATLANTA:
THE DATES ARE ON THE BOARD.
THE PARTNERS ARE BEING BUILT.
THE ECONOMICS ARE BEING STUDIED.
NOW SHOW US THE RIGHT ROOM.
October 2.
October 9.
Let’s do business.
