WHY WE DO IT

Our Mission: Culture • Community • Education • Impact

Orange Crush Festival exists for one reason:

to build something bigger than a weekend—to build opportunity, empowerment, and community for the next generation.

As a 100% Disabled Veteran–Owned and HBCU-rooted cultural brand, our purpose extends far beyond entertainment. We operate with a humanitarian mission at our core:

• To create safe, structured celebrations for students and young adults

• To protect and honor the legacy of HBCU culture

• To uplift local communities and small businesses

• To reinvest in Georgia’s youth, universities, and coastal cities

• To model responsible, community-centered event leadership

Orange Crush Festival is more than a spring-break event—

it is a platform for education, economic growth, and cultural preservation.

A HUMANITARIAN APPROACH TO SPRING BREAK

For decades, spring-break crowds have arrived without direction, support, safety planning, or economic structure.

We believe students deserve better.

We believe communities deserve better.

We believe the culture deserves better.

Our humanitarian mission guides every decision:

Safety First

We provide controlled environments, licensed security, EMS partnerships, trained staff, and organized program zones to ensure every student and resident feels safe.

No reckless chaos — only structured, coordinated celebration.

Restoring Dignity to the Culture

Too often, young Black students are blamed for conditions caused by the absence of professional event management.

We are here to protect students, not punish them—

and to show cities what a responsible, veteran-led, community-oriented festival truly looks like.

HBCU PARTNERSHIP & STUDENT UPLIFT

Orange Crush has always been powered by HBCUs.

Now, for the first time in festival history, a full HBCU coordination model is in place.

We work directly with:

✔ Savannah State University

✔ Fort Valley State University

✔ Albany State University

✔ Georgia State University

✔ Georgia Southern University

✔ Jacksonville HBCU community

✔ College Greeks • Student Organizations • Creators • Campus Leaders

And through Orange Crush University, we support:

  • Student Ambassadors & Creator Programs

  • Scholarships & Grant Opportunities

  • Paid internships in media, tech, logistics, and event management

  • On-site volunteer programs

  • Career & portfolio-building roles for at-risk youth

  • Talent showcases (Crush The Mic) that provide real paid opportunities

Our goal is simple:

Use the festival as a launchpad for careers, creativity, and community leadership.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT & ECONOMIC IMPACT

We believe that festivals should give more than they take.

Every city we work with benefits from:

• Local hiring

• Vendor opportunities for small businesses

• Food trucks & minority-owned business activation

• Tourism spending across hotels, restaurants & retail

• Traffic control that reduces strain on residents

• Volunteer hours for local nonprofits

• Coastal cleanup & beach preservation projects

• Partnerships with civic groups, churches, and youth programs

Our festival injects hundreds of thousands of dollars into:

  • Savannah’s hospitality economy

  • Hinesville & Allenhurst small businesses

  • Coastal Georgia’s tourism ecosystem

  • Student entrepreneurship and creative industries

When the culture wins, the community wins.

VETERAN-LED, SERVICE-FOCUSED

Orange Crush Festival is founded and led by a 100% Permanent & Total Disabled Veteran, committed to:

• Public service

• Ethical leadership

• Civil responsibility

• Youth protection

• Community investment

• Structural organization

• Transparent safety planning

The same discipline, strategy, and accountability learned in military service guides how our festival is managed today.

We bring order where previous promoters brought chaos.

We bring structure where others brought confusion.

We bring service, not self-interest.

BUILDING A BETTER FUTURE FOR THE CULTURE

Orange Crush Festival is the only trademarked, legally recognized owner of the Orange Crush brand, and our mission is to ensure this cultural landmark is:

✔ Safe

✔ Structured

✔ Respectful of local communities

✔ Rooted in education and opportunity

✔ Compliant with every city department

✔ Uplifting to HBCUs and Georgia youth

✔ Professionally operated

✔ Here to stay

We don’t just host a festival.

We protect a legacy.

We don’t just gather crowds.

We build community.

We don’t just entertain.

We empower.

THE FUTURE: EDUCATION • CULTURE • IMPACT

Through Orange Crush University, Crush The Mic, Crush Magazine, and our statewide network, we are creating:

  • Lifelong opportunities for creators

  • Paid roles for students

  • Pathways to tech, media, and entertainment careers

  • Scholarships and veteran-support programs

  • Statewide community partnerships

  • Coastal sustainability and environmental stewardship initiatives

Orange Crush Festival is evolving into more than an event —

it is becoming a movement for youth empowerment, cultural ownership, and community development.

This is why we do it.

To serve.

To uplift.

To protect.

To create a better, safer, more empowered future for every student and every community we touch.

Make It

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
