A collaboration gives a listener two reasons to pay attention: the artist who brought them to the song and the artist they might discover along the way.

On “Pushin Up,” Plug Not A Rapper connects with LouivB for a track on the 2022 album Toxic Plug Love. Amazon Music lists the song fifth in the project’s 16-track sequence.

LISTEN FOR THE COLLABORATION

For listeners who have been following Party Plug Mikey’s catalog, “Pushin Up” offers a reason to go back and hear a different voice within the Toxic Plug Love project.

For somebody arriving through LouivB, the song opens a path into the rest of Plug Not A Rapper’s album. That’s the value of a catalog collaboration: each artist gives the other’s audience another place to explore.

Start with “Pushin Up,” then listen to the songs surrounding it. The track follows “Somebody Bih” and leads into “Q Dawg” on the album sequence.
