Mr CRUSH takes his dance-centered vision into an animated competition where female performers lead the action.

CRUSH Magazine | “CRUSH World Cup” Spotlight

Everybody has a favorite.

The dancer with the confidence. The performer with the personality. The one your friend picks immediately—and spends the rest of the video defending.

Welcome to “CRUSH World Cup.”

This edition of CRUSH Magazine puts the spotlight on the AM ORIGINAL I animated motion picture, bringing a fictional international women’s dance competition into the creative world of Mr CRUSH, PartyPlugMikey and Plug Not A Rapper.

The invitation goes straight to the screen.

The concept gives the music a setting with something to follow: dancers, competition and the opportunity to choose a favorite.

That makes “CRUSH World Cup” a fitting expression of Mikey’s party-music ambition. Women dancing, twerking and enjoying themselves sit at the center of this side of his catalog. Here, that focus becomes the premise of an animated world.

The women get the arena. The viewers get their picks.

Put it on while your friends are together. Let everybody watch before the commentary takes over. Then find out who caught their attention.

Your quiet friend might suddenly have the strongest opinion in the room.

A BIGGER STAGE FOR THE CRUSH IMAGINATION

Savannah artist George “Mikey” Ransom Turner III works across three artist identities: Mr CRUSH, PartyPlugMikey and Plug Not A Rapper.

“CRUSH World Cup” brings those names into a visual concept with room for spectacle. Animation allows the song’s world to take the shape of a fictional international championship, making the performers and their competition the viewing attraction.

For listeners exploring the catalog, it also offers a different way to get acquainted with the artist. You can hear the record on its own, then watch how its accompanying motion picture turns the dance-centered idea into a setting.

Open the song. Enter the world. Choose your favorite.

The appeal of a watch session is the conversation it creates. One person notices a performer’s attitude. Another connects with a different style. Somebody changes her mind halfway through—and somebody refuses to change hers under any circumstances.

That’s an invitation to engage, enjoy and bring your own taste into the experience.

MAKE IT A CRUSH WATCH NIGHT

Start with “CRUSH World Cup,” then keep exploring these five official videos:

“99 & 3000” — Give the crew another catalog introduction. Watch together and see who wants to save the song.

“Jiggly Puff” — Bring a playful title into the twerk-catalog session. Your friend who loves to dance deserves the link.

“Rawest” featuring Taliraqs — Let the collaboration have its moment. Get familiar with the pairing and share both names.

“Somebody Bih” — An outspoken title gives the group chat another conversation starter. Follow it into the record.

“Slutty Vegan” — Give the cheeky name a click, then hear the music for yourself.

KEEP EXPLORING ON APPLE MUSIC

Continue the listening session with “Weather Machine”, “Bops Like Mike” and “Turn Up da Strip”.

Give each selection its own turn. Find what connects with you. Introduce a friend to the record you want to hear again.

For Mikey, the larger goal is for CRUSH music to become part of women having fun—dancing with their friends, expressing themselves and making a night their own.

“CRUSH World Cup” gives that ambition an animated arena.

Press play. Pick your favorite. Let the girls make their case.
