GEORGIA STATE STARTS THE TOUR

CRUSH UNIVERSITY™ Takes Atlanta October 2 as Downtown Becomes the First Stop on Georgia’s New Homecoming Circuit

ATLANTA, GEORGIA — FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2026

Every tour needs a beginning.

CRUSH UNIVERSITY™ is starting in the middle of Atlanta.

Not outside the city.

Not twenty miles from campus.

Right where college, business, sports, music, nightlife, media and culture already collide every day.

Georgia State University.

On Friday, October 2, CRUSH University plans to begin its 2026 College Homecoming Tour alongside Georgia State’s Homecoming week before heading immediately to Athens, the Atlanta University Center, Albany, Savannah and Statesboro.

And there may be no better place to introduce the idea.

Because Georgia State isn’t simply located in Atlanta.

Georgia State lives inside Atlanta.

A CAMPUS WITHOUT WALLS

Walk through downtown Atlanta and the distinction between university and city can disappear quickly.

Students move alongside office workers.

Classrooms sit near restaurants.

Apartments rise over city streets.

Professional sports venues sit nearby.

Government buildings, businesses, hotels, entertainment venues and transit all exist within the same urban environment.

That creates a fundamentally different Homecoming opportunity.

At some universities, Homecoming comes to campus.

At Georgia State, Homecoming can spill directly into the city.

CRUSH University intends to build around that reality.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2

Georgia State’s 2026 Homecoming week runs from September 28 through October 3.

Friday is especially important.

The university’s Homecoming Parade brings the celebration through campus.

The Block Party follows.

Then Friday night arrives.

That’s where CRUSH University enters the story.

The objective is straightforward:

Let Georgia State own Homecoming.

Let Atlanta be Atlanta.

And build a bridge between the two.

THE FIRST CRUSH UNIVERSITY NIGHT

This isn’t being designed as an expensive arena production.

That’s intentional.

CRUSH University is being built around something more flexible:

culture already in motion.

Atlanta already has venues.

Atlanta already has DJs.

Atlanta already has promoters.

Atlanta already has photographers.

Atlanta already has nightlife infrastructure.

Atlanta already has restaurants.

Atlanta already has creators.

Atlanta already has college students.

Why rebuild what already exists?

Partner with it.

The CRUSH University model is designed around collaboration with existing businesses and cultural operators rather than attempting to recreate an entertainment economy from scratch every weekend.

That philosophy begins in Atlanta.

ATLANTA PROMOTERS: THIS IS AN INVITATION

Promoters have historically been treated like disposable labor in event culture.

Sell tickets.

Post flyers.

Bring people.

Move on.

CRUSH University sees something larger.

The right Atlanta promotion partners can potentially become part of a touring network.

A promoter who performs during Georgia State weekend shouldn’t necessarily disappear when October 2 ends.

There’s another Atlanta opportunity October 9.

There are future CRUSH events.

There is Spring 2027.

There is content.

There are brand partnerships.

There are relationships in other cities.

The objective is to build repeat collaborators, not merely collect reposts.

And performance should matter.

The people capable of moving audiences should have opportunities to participate in the economic upside they help create.

GSU STUDENTS: DON’T JUST ATTEND

The most important people in CRUSH University aren’t executives sitting in conference rooms.

They’re the people actually creating campus culture.

The student with 8,000 followers.

The photographer everybody calls.

The DJ everybody recognizes.

The fashion designer selling shirts from an apartment.

The organization president.

The fraternity or sorority member who knows everybody.

The journalism student who can tell a story.

The filmmaker carrying a camera around campus.

The student entrepreneur trying to get customers.

The artist trying to be heard.

The marketing major who already understands social media better than companies paying agencies millions of dollars.

Those people shouldn’t merely be customers.

They can become part of the platform.

CRUSH UNIVERSITY CAMPUS TEAM: GEORGIA STATE

The vision for every tour stop includes building a local network around the event.

For Georgia State, that means identifying:

Campus Ambassadors

Student Promoters

DJs

Photographers

Videographers

Hosts

Models

Designers

Artists

Student Entrepreneurs

Content Creators

Student Organization Partners

The strongest contributors can potentially continue with CRUSH beyond Homecoming.

Because the tour moves.

And talent should be able to move with it.

ATLANTA BUSINESSES: HOMECOMING IS AN ECONOMIC EVENT

Homecoming isn’t only emotional.

It’s commercial.

People spend money.

They eat.

Drink.

Shop.

Travel.

Park.

Book rooms.

Buy clothing.

Get haircuts.

Get their hair done.

Book makeup appointments.

Hire photographers.

Order food.

Use transportation.

Attend events.

And purchase merchandise.

That means Georgia State Homecoming represents an opportunity for businesses throughout Atlanta.

CRUSH Magazine wants to highlight those businesses.

Not only the biggest corporations.

The local ones.

The Black-owned ones.

The alumni-owned ones.

The student-owned ones.

The businesses operating a few blocks from campus.

The businesses capable of offering something genuinely useful to students and visitors.

THE CRUSH UNIVERSITY MARKETPLACE

Commerce will become part of the CRUSH experience.

The long-term vision includes opportunities for vendors, entrepreneurs and brands to participate through physical and digital marketplaces surrounding selected tour stops.

Imagine discovering:

a Georgia State clothing brand,

an Atlanta jewelry company,

a student photographer,

a local food business,

a beauty entrepreneur,

and limited CRUSH UNIVERSITY merchandise

through the same cultural platform.

That’s the ecosystem.

THE FIRST DROP

Georgia State also represents the beginning of the CRUSH UNIVERSITY™ merchandise story.

The first pieces shouldn’t feel like generic event merchandise.

They should feel like the beginning of a tour.

CRUSH UNIVERSITY™

HOMECOMING TOUR 2026

ATLANTA

And eventually:

ATLANTA
ATHENS
ALBANY
SAVANNAH
STATESBORO

Every city added becomes another chapter.

Every shirt photographed in another city becomes another advertisement.

Every limited drop becomes documentation.

The clothing tells people:

I was there when this started.

SPONSORS: ATLANTA IS THE TEST LAB

Atlanta gives potential partners something particularly valuable.

A proving ground.

A company doesn’t necessarily have to commit to an enormous national sponsorship on day one.

Start here.

Activate with Georgia State.

Provide something useful.

Measure engagement.

Create content.

Learn.

Then follow the tour.

Athens comes the next day.

The Atlanta University Center comes one week later.

Albany follows.

Then Savannah.

Then Statesboro.

A successful Atlanta activation can become a Georgia campaign almost immediately.

WHAT SHOULD SPONSORS BRING?

Not another banner nobody looks at.

Bring value.

FOOD

Feed somebody.

TRANSPORTATION

Help somebody move safely.

FASHION

Give somebody something worth wearing.

BEAUTY

Help somebody prepare for Homecoming.

TECHNOLOGY

Solve a problem.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Teach something useful.

BEVERAGES

Hydrate people or provide product.

HOTELS

Help travelers stay in the city.

RETAIL

Create a limited offer.

CAREER BRANDS

Connect students to opportunities.

MEDIA

Help tell the story.

The best activation should make students say:

“I’m glad they were here.”

CONTENT IS CURRENCY

Atlanta will also establish the visual language for everything that follows.

The photographer isn’t simply taking party pictures.

They’re creating the Athens campaign.

The videographer isn’t merely producing a recap.

They’re creating proof for potential sponsors.

The student interview isn’t simply a TikTok.

It’s introducing CRUSH University to another campus.

Every valuable moment should have a second life.

Photo.

Video.

Article.

Reel.

Interview.

Recap.

Sponsor asset.

Merchandise image.

Magazine feature.

The event lasts hours.

The media can travel for months.

SATURDAY MORNING, WE MOVE

And this is what makes October 2 particularly important.

There isn’t a week to celebrate afterward.

There’s barely a night.

Because Saturday belongs to Athens.

UGA.

Football.

Homecoming.

Downtown.

Another campus.

Another audience.

Another city.

The first CRUSH University weekend becomes:

FRIDAY — ATLANTA

SATURDAY — ATHENS

Two major Georgia college environments in approximately 24 hours.

And that immediately establishes what CRUSH University is supposed to feel like:

movement.

THEN ATLANTA GETS ANOTHER CHAPTER

One week later, CRUSH returns.

But Georgia State isn’t the destination.

The Atlanta University Center is.

Morehouse.

Spelman.

HBCU Homecoming culture.

A completely different audience and tradition inside the same city.

That’s why Atlanta is so important to the CRUSH University strategy.

One metropolitan market can introduce the brand to multiple college communities without rebuilding operations from zero.

Relationships formed October 2 can matter October 9.

And potentially far beyond it.

FROM GEORGIA STATE TO MIAMI

There is an even longer road ahead.

Because Fall 2026 isn’t the final destination.

It’s audience development for what comes next.

When Homecoming ends, CRUSH begins preparing for Spring 2027.

MIAMI — MARCH

SAVANNAH / TYBEE — APRIL

ATLANTA — MAY

JACKSONVILLE — JUNE

The Georgia State student who discovers CRUSH October 2 could encounter the brand again in Miami.

Or Savannah.

Or Atlanta.

Or Jacksonville.

That is how an event becomes a relationship.

GEORGIA STATE STARTS THE CLOCK

October 2 isn’t simply another Friday.

It is Stop One.

The first campus.

The first crowd.

The first merchandise.

The first content.

The first partnerships.

The first opportunity to prove the model.

Atlanta gets the opening chapter.

Then CRUSH hits the highway.
