LONG ISLAND ICED TEA: ADD PLUG NOT A RAPPER TO YOUR AFTER-HOURS ROTATION

CRUSH Magazine | Music + Nightlife

Before the night becomes a story, somebody has to choose the music.

The plans are coming together. The outfit is almost settled. The group chat is changing the meeting time again. Somewhere in the middle of it all, there is room for a new song.

This edition of CRUSH Magazine’s music spotlight puts “LongIslandIcedTea,” also presented as “Long Island Iced Tea,” in that space.

The cocktail-inspired title supplies an immediate nightlife association. It brings an evening-out frame of reference to a release listeners can explore through both its video and its Apple Music listing. For anyone discovering Plug Not A Rapper through PartyPlugMikey and the CRUSH world, it is a clear place to begin.

Earlier CRUSH commentary offered another interpretation of the record: celebration as a temporary escape. That reading opens a conversation beyond the title. What are we looking for when we go out—the company, the attention, a change of scenery or simply a few hours that feel different from the rest of the week?

Bring your own answer to the listening experience.

Watch the “Long Island Iced Tea” video, then return to the song without the screen. Let the recording find its place in your evening rather than leaving it as a link you opened once.

For the person who curates the group’s music, here is a new selection to put on the table. For the listener who knows Mikey’s name but has yet to explore his releases, here is a specific track to search and share.

Continue with “GOOD GOOD” and “Mikey Tyson” to hear the other selections in this CRUSH Magazine spotlight.

The plans can change. Keep “LongIslandIcedTea” in the queue.
