MIKEY TYSON: STEP OUT LIKE YOU BACK YOURSELF 🥊🔥

A playful name gets its own round in the CRUSH catalog spotlight.

CRUSH Magazine | “Mikey Tyson”

The outfit is handled. Your friends are ready. You’ve checked the mirror enough times.

Go enjoy being you.

This edition of CRUSH Magazine turns to “Mikey Tyson” featuring PartyPlugMikey, continuing the party-catalog series through Savannah’s Mr CRUSH, PartyPlugMikey and Plug Not A Rapper.

The title brings Mikey’s name into a playful boxing reference. For this spotlight, it’s an invitation to walk into the evening with a little confidence—and give the record a proper introduction.

🍎 STREAM “MIKEY TYSON” ON APPLE MUSIC

You know the friend who helps everybody feel ready.

She notices the outfit. She fixes the necklace. She takes the picture again because she knows the first one didn’t do you justice. Then she tells you to stop worrying and come have fun.

Send her “Mikey Tyson.”

Open it together while the crew finishes getting ready. Hear the song for yourselves. Decide whether it belongs among your CRUSH picks.

Confidence travels well when your friends bring theirs, too.

Behind the artist identities is George “Mikey” Ransom Turner III. His ambition for this side of the catalog centers on women dancing, twerking, feeling themselves and enjoying their people.

That gives the party-music mission a human setting: a woman finally taking a night for herself, friends celebrating something they worked for, a gathering where everybody feels comfortable enough to join in.

The music has to make its own connection with each listener. “Mikey Tyson” is another chance to explore that connection.

GIVE YOURSELF A LITTLE ROOM

Somebody has to get up first.

Maybe it’s your friend who always dances. Maybe tonight it’s you. You hear something you want to move to, find a little space and stop waiting for the whole room to agree.

That’s the kind of participation Mikey wants his party catalog to invite.

The dancer brings her own style. The listener chooses her favorite. The friend who discovers a record gives somebody else a link.

Everyone adds something.

For “Mikey Tyson,” start with the simplest step: press play and give the song your attention. Let your own taste decide what comes next.

FOLLOW MIKEY THROUGH THE CATALOG

Keep exploring with three more selections:

“Bops Like Mike” puts the artist’s name back in the conversation. Get familiar, then introduce somebody who hasn’t heard the catalog yet.

“Think She a Model” gives your next getting-ready session another song to explore. The friend taking everybody’s pictures deserves her own turn.

“Gold Bottles” adds another option to the celebration list. Somebody in the crew has a win worth acknowledging.

TAKE THE NEXT ROUND TO THE SCREEN

The CRUSH video catalog offers six more ways to get acquainted:

• “99 & 3000” — Official video

• “Jiggly Puff” — Official video

• “Rawest” featuring Taliraqs — Official video

• “Somebody Bih” — Official video

• “Slutty Vegan” — Official video

• “CRUSH World Cup” — Animated motion picture

Put the videos on while your friends are together. Let everybody choose a favorite. Give the person who usually handles the requests a chance to make one herself.

The ambition behind CRUSH’s party catalog is music becoming part of a good time: women enjoying themselves, finding their own moves and sharing the records they want to hear again.

Start with “Mikey Tyson.” Bring your confidence. Give your friends the link.
