NOT ME: TWO WORDS, ONE NEW RECORD TO DISCOVER

CRUSH Magazine | Music + Personality

Everybody has an opinion about how someone should look, act or move. Sometimes the answer is short: “Not Me.”

The title gives listeners an immediate entry into a song from Crushtober University 21+, credited to Mr Crush, Plug Not A Rapper and Party Plug Mikey. Earlier CRUSH coverage considered the phrase through individuality, humor and personal boundaries.

For the Orange Crush Tybee Festival Reloaded music series, “Not Me” offers another selection to explore from Mikey’s newer catalog. It gives the playlist a title that people can make their own—whether they hear it as a declaration, a response or simply the name of a song they want to replay.

Start with the recording. Then explore it alongside “My Turn” and “Mr Put That Shit On,” two more Crushtober University 21+ selections built around memorable names.

The weekend brings together people with their own styles and their own stories. “Not Me” gives the group another record to hear while everyone gets ready to show up as themselves.

Press play on “Not Me” and decide what the title means to you.
