ORANGE CRUSH® TRADEMARK OWNER GEORGE “MIKEY PARTY PLUG” RANSOM TURNER ANNOUNCES NEW HYBRID MUSIC GENRE: CRUSH’ISM™
ATLANTA, GA — George R. “Mikey Plug / Party Plug Mikey” Turner, the federal trademark holder and cultural architect behind the Orange Crush® brand, has officially announced Crush’ism™, a new hybrid music genre combining elements of Hip-Hop, R&B, and Rock.
Turner emphasizes that he is not a rapper, nor is the genre created for personal music releases. Instead, Crush’ism™ is introduced as a new creative lane designed for artists, producers, DJs, and performers who want to innovate beyond traditional genre boundaries.
“Crush’ism™ is a hybrid sound built for high-energy festival culture,” Turner said. “It blends the rhythm of Hip-Hop, the emotion of R&B, and the intensity of Rock. This genre comes from the same innovation, originality, and leadership that built the Orange Crush® legacy.”
Crush’ism™ is being positioned as the official music lane connected to the Orange Crush® ecosystem, including the Orange Crush Festival, the national Crush Tour, CRUSH Magazine, and future entertainment properties.
While the Orange Crush® brand is known nationally for its impact on student culture, tourism, and entertainment, Turner is now expanding the brand’s footprint into the music industry with a genre he fully conceptualized and named.
“This isn’t just another sound trend,” Turner added. “Crush’ism™ is a new lane. A new identity. And it belongs to the culture that Orange Crush® was built for.”
Crush’ism™ will be introduced publicly through:
Select DJ showcases
Producer collaborations
Compilation projects

Artists and industry professionals are invited to engage as the new genre rolls out across the multi-city Orange Crush® 2026 Tour.
Crush’ism™ is now officially recognized and announced as a new music genre.
