TURNT: BRING BADDIES ISLAND BACK TO THE BEACH
CRUSH Magazine | Orange Crush Tybee Festival Reloaded Music Spotlight
Some song titles tell you exactly what kind of weekend people came to have.
“Turnt” takes CRUSH Magazine back to Baddies Island, Plug Not A Rapper’s 2023 project featuring PartyPlugMikey. As Orange Crush Tybee Festival Reloaded enters the conversation, the record gives listeners a reason to revisit an earlier chapter of Mikey’s catalog.
The connection starts with the title. People travel to Tybee ready to see their friends, enjoy the beach and make the most of their time together. “Turnt” is a selection to bring into that playlist as the plans come together.
For longtime followers, this is a chance to return to Baddies Island. For new listeners, the project offers more music to explore after the first song—including “Xity Gurlz,” “BADDIES” and “General Tso.”
Put “Turnt” in the queue on the way to the coast. Give the group a chance to hear it before the weekend, then see which Baddies Island record everybody wants to play again.
The beach may be the destination, but the music starts the moment the trip does.
Find “Turnt” on Baddies Island and bring PartyPlugMikey into your Tybee rotation.
