WEIRD: ONE WORD, ANOTHER WAY INTO PLUG NOT A RAPPER’S CATALOG

CRUSH Magazine | Music & Video Spotlight

“Weird” gets the headline this time.

After sharing the viewing queue with “Pro Toolz,” the Plug Not A Rapper record takes its own turn in the spotlight. Apple Music credits “Weird” featuring Party Plug Mikey to the 2022 project Not Like Them Rap N**z. The official CRUSH gallery also links directly to its YouTube video. A one-word title can leave plenty unanswered. “Weird” might describe a person, a situation, or somebody’s reaction. That ambiguity creates curiosity before the first play. The record gets to supply the context.

For listeners who arrived through the AM-ORIGINAL I animated releases, this selection opens another part of the archive. Its parent project arrived December 21, 2022, with nine songs across 26 minutes—a manageable listening session for anyone ready to explore further. (music.apple.com)

There is a particular pleasure in finding a favorite without having it chosen for you. You follow one video, open another, and land on the song you want to send somebody. That personal discovery is the invitation behind this spotlight.

Give “Weird” an uninterrupted play. Watch the visual, then return to the audio and decide what earns a replay.

The next step is already available: “Pro Toolz”, its fellow album selection in the official video gallery. Together, the two provide a focused introduction to this chapter before listeners open the full release. (orangecrushfestival.net)

Put “Weird” in the queue. Let your own favorite emerge.
