WHAT TIME: PLUG NOT A RAPPER PUTS THE INVITATION IN THE TITLE

The group chat has a location. Somebody has a ride. One question remains: what time?

Those two words belong to the moment when a possibility becomes a plan. They can start a date, organize a reunion, or get everybody moving toward the same place. For Plug Not A Rapper / PartyPlugMikey, they also name an entry in the AM-ORIGINAL I animated series.

The official YouTube upload presents “What Time” as an animated motion picture, crediting Mr CRUSH, Plug Not A Rapper, and PartyPlugMikey together. The CRUSH premiere page places it at Chapter 04. (youtu.be, orangecrushfestival.net)

Two words with somewhere to go

As a title, “What Time” has a useful quality: people already say it.

It belongs in the text before the outfit is chosen, the call before someone leaves home, and the conversation that keeps an evening open a little longer. That everyday familiarity gives the record an accessible introduction. A listener can recognize the invitation before knowing anything else about the project.

The title also leaves room for different intentions. Somebody wants an afternoon together. Somebody wants to meet after dark. Somebody has been talking about making plans for weeks and finally needs an answer.

That is the editorial appeal of this spotlight: a small phrase can carry anticipation, impatience, flirtation, and possibility.

A chapter worth opening on its own

Within a series, an individual video has two jobs. It needs to introduce itself to a first-time viewer while giving returning viewers another reason to stay.

“What Time” offers a straightforward starting point. Open the video without needing to work through the entire catalog first. Then follow its place in the published sequence: “Been Jammin” precedes it, and “CRUSH World Cup” follows. (orangecrushfestival.net)

That three-video run gives newcomers a manageable viewing session and returning listeners a chance to revisit the releases together.

Send the link with the invitation

Music discovery can begin with something as simple as a message between friends. A title catches somebody’s attention. A video supplies the introduction. The conversation continues from there.

Make “What Time” the next link you send when everybody is deciding what to do.

The title asks. Press play and bring your own answer.
