ALBANY, THIS ONE BELONGS TO SOUTH GEORGIA
CRUSH UNIVERSITY™ Arrives at Albany State Homecoming as the Golden Rams Bring Students, Alumni, Greek Life, Business and Culture Together
ALBANY, GEORGIA — SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2026
Friday night:
Atlanta.
The Atlanta University Center.
Morehouse.
Spelman.
Homecoming weekend beginning in one of the biggest cultural capitals in America.
Then Saturday morning comes.
And CRUSH heads south.
Not toward another Atlanta venue.
Not toward another major metropolitan market.
Toward a place with its own identity.
Its own history.
Its own alumni.
Its own traditions.
Its own sound.
Its own businesses.
Its own people.
ALBANY.
And on Saturday, October 10, Albany State University comes home.
THE GOLDEN RAMS ARE HOME
Albany State’s 2026 football schedule marks Saturday, October 10 for exactly what it is:
HOMECOMING.
Albany State.
Lane College.
2 PM.
Albany, Georgia.
But anybody who understands HBCU culture understands that the football game is only one part of the weekend.
Homecoming stretches beyond the scoreboard.
It reaches into families.
Friendships.
Greek organizations.
Businesses.
Churches.
Restaurants.
Hotels.
Neighborhoods.
Nightlife.
Fashion.
Music.
And memories.
People don’t simply attend Albany State Homecoming.
They return to Albany.
And that difference matters.
ATLANTA GETS ATTENTION.
SOUTH GEORGIA DESERVES INVESTMENT.
Major brands naturally gravitate toward major cities.
Atlanta.
New York.
Los Angeles.
Miami.
Chicago.
But culture doesn’t exist exclusively inside the country’s largest markets.
Neither does talent.
Neither does entrepreneurship.
Neither does consumer spending.
Neither does influence.
Albany State Homecoming gives companies, media platforms and cultural organizations an opportunity to engage with a South Georgia audience in the place where that community actually gathers.
CRUSH University sees value in that.
The tour isn’t called:
CRUSH ATLANTA UNIVERSITY.
We’re moving.
THE SOUTH GEORGIA CONNECTION
Albany isn’t isolated from the rest of the CRUSH map.
Look at the route.
Atlanta.
Athens.
Atlanta.
Albany.
Savannah.
Statesboro.
These aren’t random dots.
Students travel between them.
Families connect them.
Alumni connect them.
Athletics connect them.
Greek organizations connect them.
Music connects them.
Promoters connect them.
Highways connect them.
South Georgia has always had its own cultural network.
CRUSH University intends to travel through it rather than simply advertise toward it from Atlanta.
HOMECOMING IS AN ECONOMIC ENGINE
For several days, demand increases.
People need hotel rooms.
People need food.
People need transportation.
People need outfits.
People need hair appointments.
People need barbers.
People need photography.
People need places to gather.
People buy merchandise.
People attend events.
People support vendors.
People spend money.
That makes Homecoming more than a celebration.
It becomes a temporary economic engine.
The opportunity is making sure more of that engine benefits the people who live and operate businesses here.
BEFORE THE PARTY, SHOP ALBANY
CRUSH University’s Albany strategy begins before nighttime.
The daytime economy matters.
Imagine Homecoming Saturday where visitors discover:
Albany restaurants.
Student businesses.
Black-owned companies.
Local fashion brands.
Food vendors.
Photographers.
Beauty businesses.
Barbers.
Transportation providers.
Creators.
Artists.
And CRUSH UNIVERSITY merchandise.
That is significantly more valuable than arriving at 10 PM, opening a nightclub door and leaving at 2 AM.
The party should be the conclusion of the day’s ecosystem.
Not the entire ecosystem.
THE ALBANY STATE ENTREPRENEUR
Somewhere on campus right now is a future business owner.
Actually, probably hundreds of them.
Some have already started.
They sell clothing.
Hair.
Food.
Photography.
Graphic design.
Music services.
Beauty products.
Content creation.
Transportation.
Technology.
Fitness services.
Jewelry.
Event services.
Marketing.
CRUSH Magazine wants to know who they are.
Because one of the most important things a media platform can do isn’t simply cover famous people.
It’s document people before everybody else knows their names.
CRUSH UNIVERSITY: STUDENT BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT
Albany should become one of the tour’s strongest entrepreneurial markets.
CRUSH Magazine intends to look for businesses connected to Albany State and the surrounding community to feature across the weekend.
Not because they’re small.
Because they’re early.
Today’s campus clothing company could become tomorrow’s national brand.
Today’s student photographer could become tomorrow’s creative director.
Today’s DJ could become tomorrow’s touring producer.
Today’s food vendor could eventually own multiple restaurants.
Today’s promoter could build the next major entertainment company.
Homecoming puts all of them in the same environment.
That’s opportunity.
VENDORS ARE PART OF THE CULTURE
Walk through a great HBCU Homecoming and you’ll understand something quickly.
Commerce is visible.
Food.
Clothing.
Art.
Accessories.
School pride.
Greek merchandise.
Beauty.
Community organizations.
Local companies.
Entrepreneurs.
Vending isn’t something sitting outside the culture.
It is part of the Homecoming experience.
CRUSH University wants to participate in that marketplace while creating opportunities for its own merchandise and appropriate partner brands to reach attendees.
CRUSH UNIVERSITY™ — ALBANY DROP
Every city shouldn’t receive identical merchandise.
Albany deserves its own timestamp.
CRUSH UNIVERSITY™
HOMECOMING TOUR 2026
ALBANY
Limited run.
Tour identity.
South Georgia chapter.
And alongside it:
the full CRUSH University Tour collection.
Atlanta.
Athens.
Albany.
Savannah.
Statesboro.
A shirt bought in Albany may appear in Savannah seven days later.
That’s when merchandise becomes media.
LOCAL PROMOTERS ARE INFRASTRUCTURE
An outside company can buy advertising.
It cannot buy years of relationships overnight.
Local promoters know Albany.
They know the DJs.
They know the venues.
They know when people arrive.
They know what music works.
They know who actually moves crowds.
They know which social pages matter.
They know the difference between internet attention and people physically walking through a door.
That knowledge has economic value.
So CRUSH University’s model should be partnership rather than replacement.
CRUSH BRAND + LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.
That is stronger than either operating alone.
AND THE ECONOMICS SHOULD REWARD PERFORMANCE
The old model can be brutally inefficient.
Pay large guarantees.
Spend heavily before selling one ticket.
Rent oversized spaces.
Purchase unnecessary production.
Pay promoters upfront.
Hope.
CRUSH University is being built around another idea:
share upside instead of manufacturing overhead.
Existing venue.
Existing bar.
Existing staff.
Existing local promoters.
Existing campus networks.
CRUSH brings the touring brand, marketing ecosystem, merchandise, media and sponsor relationships.
When everybody has a reason for the event to perform, partnerships become much more powerful.
ALBANY BUSINESSES: BECOME A CITY PARTNER
Not every sponsor needs a national marketing department.
A CRUSH University city partner could be:
a restaurant,
hotel,
car dealership,
apartment community,
barbershop,
salon,
clothing company,
attorney,
realtor,
financial professional,
transportation company,
fitness business,
beauty company,
or local retailer.
A business could participate through:
financial sponsorship,
discounts,
product,
services,
giveaways,
cross-promotion,
merchandise,
hospitality,
transportation,
food,
or content.
The question isn’t simply:
How much money can you give CRUSH?
The better question is:
What can we create together that benefits both audiences?
NATIONAL BRANDS: DON’T SKIP SOUTH GEORGIA
Albany offers something major-market activations sometimes struggle to produce:
local significance.
When every company activates in Atlanta, another Atlanta activation can disappear into noise.
A meaningful activation in Albany can stand out.
Provide something useful.
Support entrepreneurs.
Create a photo experience.
Sponsor transportation.
Fund content.
Provide food.
Give away products.
Support a student competition.
Create internships.
Build an activation people actually talk about.
Don’t simply arrive with banners.
Arrive with value.
CONTENT FROM ALBANY SHOULD LOOK LIKE ALBANY
CRUSH Magazine doesn’t need to make every tour stop visually identical.
That’s boring.
Atlanta should look like Atlanta.
Athens should look like Athens.
The AUC should look like the AUC.
And Albany should look like Albany.
Show the campus.
Show the city.
Show the alumni.
Show the tailgates.
Show the businesses.
Show the fashion.
Show the Golden Rams.
Show the families.
Show the students.
Show South Georgia.
A touring media platform becomes more interesting when every destination retains its own identity.
HOMECOMING SATURDAY HAS MULTIPLE CHAPTERS
MORNING

MIDDAY

BECAUSE SAVANNAH IS NEXT.
And this is where the tour becomes personal.
Seven days later:
Savannah State.
Savannah, Georgia.
The coast.
Two nights.
Friday kickoff.
Saturday Homecoming.
Saturday afterparty.
CRUSH enters one of the cities most deeply connected to its larger story.
Everything captured in Albany becomes fuel for Savannah.
The photos.
The videos.
The outfits.
The merchandise.
The sponsor activations.
The crowd.
The testimonials.
The relationships.
The proof.
Every stop sells the next stop.
THE HBCU RUN CONTINUES
October 9:
ATLANTA.
October 10:
ALBANY.
October 16–17:
SAVANNAH.
Three HBCU Homecoming environments across eight days.
That isn’t merely an event schedule.
It’s a cultural road trip through Georgia.
And every city adds something different.
Atlanta gives scale.
Albany gives South Georgia.
Savannah gives the coast.
ALBANY, THIS ONE BELONGS TO YOU.
CRUSH isn’t coming to tell Albany how to celebrate Albany State.
Albany already knows.
We’re coming to participate.
To partner.
To document.
To promote.
To sell.
To create.
To connect.
And then to carry the story to the next city.
Because the strongest touring brands don’t erase local culture.
They amplify it.
