FROM EVENT PROMOTER TO RECORDING ARTIST: PARTY PLUG MIKEY’S CRUSH ENTERTAINMENT VISION

CRUSH Magazine | Artist Profile • Entertainment Entrepreneurship • Southern Music

For some entertainers, the story begins with a recording studio.

For George “Mikey” Ransom Turner III, known as Party Plug Mikey, Plug Not A Rapper and Mr CRUSH, the story also includes event promotion, brand development and a longstanding connection with Southern entertainment culture.

The CRUSH identity brings those experiences together.

THE PROMOTER

The Orange Crush name is associated with the artist’s work in event promotion and entertainment branding.

The wider CRUSH vision includes cultural experiences, festival concepts and relationships across multiple Southern markets.

THE ARTIST

Music now provides another way to communicate the personality behind the brand.

Three current catalog priorities include:

GOOD GOOD

LONG ISLAND ICE TEA

MIKEY TYSON

THE CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Animated music videos, performance concepts, themed fashion and visual storytelling are part of the artist’s creative direction.

The developing WHOM IS WHOME album and its completed Freak Sumn animated video represent another phase of that approach.

THE BRAND BUILDER

CRUSH clothing and CRUSH Magazine provide additional ways to connect with supporters beyond a music release.

THE LONG-TERM VISION

The ambition is to connect original music, fashion, media and entertainment experiences into a recognizable creative business.

For listeners, the first connection might be a song.

For someone else, it might be a video, a magazine feature or a piece of clothing.

The CRUSH vision is to make those experiences part of the same story.
