KALEEL 4REAL: THE CLASS OF 2016 CONNECTION, THE SHAM TAPE & THE HOMECOMING RETURN

The Savannah State alumnus and “Sham Tape” creator joins GEEKSQUAD founder PartyPlugMikey—Mr CRUSH, George Mikey—and the Gamma Chi Ques for a 2026 Homecoming spotlight rooted in music, brotherhood, and school pride.

Ten years after the Class of 2016, Savannah State Homecoming carries a different kind of significance for Kaleel 4Real. Returning as a headlining host puts an alumnus back in front of the community that connects his college identity with his creative life.

The Que Dawg and creator behind Sham Tape brings both sides of that story to the occasion: the artist with a project of his own and the Savannah State graduate whose connection to campus extends beyond a performance credit.

For CRUSH Magazine, that combination deserves its own spotlight.

Homecoming gives alumni a place to see what their classmates have become—and to recognize what still connects them. A familiar face onstage can carry years of meaning for people in the audience. The host’s role becomes especially personal when the person holding the microphone shares that history.

Kaleel’s Class of 2016 connection gives his 2026 appearance that anniversary dimension. His Sham Tape creator credit adds another reason to pay attention beyond Homecoming weekend. The project belongs in the introduction because his creative identity deserves recognition alongside his hosting role.

Joining that story is GEEKSQUAD founder @PartyPlugMikey, known across his creative identities as Mr CRUSH and George Mikey. For Mikey, Savannah State sits within a larger Savannah story—one that connects his upbringing, basketball roots, music, and CRUSH brand. Appearing alongside a fellow creative with his own Savannah State ties gives that story a shared stage.

Each brings a distinct identity to the billing. Kaleel brings Sham Tape, his Que Dawg identity, and the Class of 2016 connection. Mikey brings GEEKSQUAD and the expanding CRUSH music world. Alongside them, the Gamma Chi Ques place brotherhood at the center of the Homecoming picture.

That shared recognition is part of what makes an alumni stage meaningful. The names on the lineup belong to people whose relationships with the school began before this particular event—and whose work continues after the weekend ends.

For audiences discovering Kaleel through the 2026 Homecoming spotlight, the introduction is clear: Savannah State Class of 2016. Sham Tape creator. Que Dawg. Headlining host.

For those who already know him, the occasion offers something more familiar: a chance to celebrate one of their own, ten years later, with another chapter to his name.
