PLUG NOT A RAPPER’S “BASIC BIH” DESERVES ANOTHER SPIN

CRUSH Magazine | From the Catalog

Before you jump to the newest drop, run the opener back.

“Basic Bih” takes the first slot on Plug Not A Rapper’s Ghetto Ted Talk—a placement that makes it a natural starting point for anyone digging into this chapter of his catalog. At 2 minutes and 45 seconds, it introduces a 14-track project with plenty more waiting behind it. (tidal.com, music.amazon.com)

Released October 8, 2022, through Orange Crush Magazine The Label, Ghetto Ted Talk packs 37 minutes into its full run. “Basic Bih” opens the door to a sequence that includes “Find A Way Or Make One,” “Aint No Rulez,” “Swamp Walk,” and “Blood Sweat Tears.” For listeners who arrived through later releases, this is a chance to put an earlier project into rotation—and hear its opening statement in context. The discovery continues on YouTube. Orange Crush’s official coverage links the “Basic Bih” video, giving the song a direct visual destination alongside its streaming home. Queue the video, then start the album from track one: one song, two ways into the catalog. (orangecrushfestival.net)

The move for this edition? Give the opener its own spotlight. Save the link, send it to the friend who’s still catching up, and bring Ghetto Ted Talk back into the conversation.
