STEPH: PLUG NOT A RAPPER BRINGS BASKETBALL CONFIDENCE INTO THE CATALOG

CRUSH Magazine | Music & Video Spotlight

Call your shot. Then give people something to watch.

“Steph” takes this catalog series toward basketball-inspired wordplay. CRUSH’s published music guide identifies Stephen Curry as the reference behind the title, describing basketball metaphors used to express confidence across attraction, music, and money. That premise gives listeners a specific angle to follow. Basketball language travels easily into everyday ambition: taking a chance, finding an opening, trusting your preparation, and committing when the opportunity arrives.

For a songwriter, those connections offer room for personality. A sports reference can communicate confidence quickly because the audience already understands the stakes of a shot. The creative question is what the artist does with that familiar language.

“Steph” invites listeners to hear Plug’s approach for themselves.

The official CRUSH gallery lists the video with both PartyPlugMikey and Plug Not A Rapper, alongside a Toxic Plug Love tag. The site also supplies the direct YouTube link, keeping the release connected to the artist’s own catalog. (orangecrushfestival.net, orangecrushfestival.net)
