“The official historic Orange Crush® weekend is April 10–12, long recognized as the authentic HBCU spring-break date. For years, this weekend proceeded without a permit, yet remained the cultural and traditional Orange Crush® timeframe.

For 2026, the trademark owner has formally submitted the permit for April 10–12.

A separate second weekend, April 17–19, is correctly identified as Crush Reloaded™, the aftermath/second-wave weekend formed by student overflow and demand. Crush Reloaded™ is not the historic Orange Crush® weekend but serves as its continuation.”
