TURN UP DA STRIP: TAKE THIS PLUG NOT A RAPPER RECORD TO TYBEE

CRUSH Magazine | Orange Crush Tybee Festival Reloaded Listening List

Before the beach pictures hit the timeline, the weekend needs music.

“Turn Up Da Strip” brings Plug Not A Rapper’s earlier catalog into the conversation around Orange Crush Tybee Festival Reloaded. Released on Swamp Baby, the record gives listeners a starting point that reaches back before the artist’s more recent projects.

Its title is already an invitation. For this Tybee listening list, the connection is gathering outside: friends arriving together, music moving between groups and the anticipation that builds before everyone reaches the beach.

Previous CRUSH coverage has highlighted “Turn Up Da Strip” for its outdoor-party role. That makes it a record worth revisiting as attention turns toward music for the Tybee crowd. It connects the festival conversation to a specific song people can find, hear and bring into their own weekend rotation.

The recording is listed at just over two minutes on Audiomack. That gives first-time listeners a quick introduction to an earlier chapter of Plug Not A Rapper, with more of Swamp Baby waiting around it.

For people who know PartyPlugMikey through Orange Crush, follow the connection back into the music. Hear the song before the weekend. Share it with the person choosing the group’s playlist. Put a title behind the name you recognize.

“Turn Up Da Strip” earns its place on this CRUSH Magazine beach listening list by bringing the catalog’s outdoor-party identity into focus.
