HOMECOMING HAS A HOMETOWN: SPEEDY, DJ TRILL & SAVANNAH’S LOCAL CONTRIBUTION
AOS Mobile Bar and Crimson Korner’s “Ultimate Tailgate Experience” puts local hospitality, music, and hosting at the center of Savannah State’s Homecoming celebration.
Homecoming asks people to return. Local support helps give them somewhere to land.
For Savannah State’s October 17, 2026 Homecoming celebration, the locally sponsored stage-and-bar experience carried the names of Anthony “Speedy” Gordon and Ty “DJ Trill” Smith. Presented by AOS Mobile Bar and Crimson Korner, “The Ultimate Tailgate Experience” paired Speedy’s hosting with DJ Trill’s music around the advertised matchup between Savannah State University and Fort Valley State University.
Those credits tell a story about Savannah’s contribution to its own celebrations.
A university supplies the common connection. The surrounding community brings its businesses, personalities, creative work, and relationships. Together, those contributions give returning alumni and visiting guests places to spend time with one another.
The stage and bar belong in that story because gathering requires a setting—and someone willing to help provide it.
Anthony “Speedy” Gordon’s hosting credit makes that contribution personal. His name appears directly on the invitation, giving the occasion a recognizable point of welcome. In a celebration built around reconnecting, the host helps connect the event’s identity to the people arriving.
Ty “DJ Trill” Smith’s music credit carries equal importance. Music occupies the space between introductions, conversations, and football anticipation. The DJ helps determine how those moments move together. Naming DJ Trill preserves the credit for that work alongside the host and presenters.
AOS Mobile Bar and Crimson Korner’s promotional design places hospitality at the center of the experience. The black mobile-bar installation anchors the artwork, surrounded by the competing schools’ colors, football imagery, and the promise of music and tailgate atmosphere.
It is an invitation with several points of entry. Someone may come for the school connection, another for familiar people, another for the music. The setting gives those interests somewhere to meet.
For George Mikey Turner—Mr CRUSH, PartyPlugMikey, and Plug Not A Rapper—recognizing these local contributions is part of telling a fuller Savannah story.
His own connection to Homecoming reaches through his upbringing, basketball roots, Savannah State experiences, and music. That personal history gives CRUSH Magazine a reason to look closely at the people surrounding the celebration. The artist remains part of the picture while the attention moves toward neighbors and contributors whose work deserves its own recognition.
That approach also gives the word local substance.
Here, local means naming Speedy, DJ Trill, AOS Mobile Bar, and Crimson Korner. It means remembering who received the hosting credit, who supplied the advertised music, and which presenters put their names behind the invitation.
Each credit makes the account more useful to someone discovering Savannah’s event community. Each also gives people who already know these names a record that recognizes their contribution.
There is room in Homecoming coverage for the performance, the football matchup, the reunion photograph, and the businesses helping create places to gather. Together, those details show how a school celebration becomes a shared city experience.
For this chapter of Savannah State Homecoming 2026, the local names deserve to travel with the memory: Anthony “Speedy” Gordon, Ty “DJ Trill” Smith, AOS Mobile Bar, and Crimson Korner.
